PROJECTS
East Coast Safety Consultants Pty Ltd is led by Shaine Mutton, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the civil and high-rise construction, mining, warehousing, and manufacturing industries. He has proven ability and experience in participating with national safety strategies, influencing key stakeholders, and supporting the implementation of safety management systems on multiple construction projects, including the Pacific Highway upgrade and Westlink M7 Motorway. Shaine and the East Coast Safety Consultants team possess extraordinary knowledge and understanding of all Work Health and Safety, Workers Compensation, Quality management and Environmental Legislations. Here are some of the projects we've been privileged to work on:
New Tabulam Bridge over Clarence River and
Woolgoolga to Ballina Projects - COST $4.36 billion
East Coast Safety Consultants Pty Ltd was the Complex WHS partner for the Tabulam Bridge construction, costing $48 million. We were engaged by Georgiou Group to support the new Tabulam Bridge health and safety delivery. ECSC managed all health and safety elements of the project for approximately 13 months. During this time ECSC develop and maintained the project healthy and safety management systems, established leadership programs for all levels of the managerial staff, increased the collaborative approach to health and safety with all interested parties. The new 290-metre Tabulam Bridge, which was opened in 2020, crosses the Clarence River and improves road safety, traffic efficiency and road transport productivity and reliability. We also managed WHS across several of the Woolgoolga to Ballina Projects.
NSW Education Auditing Program
East Coast Safety Consultants Pty Ltd, in alliance with other health and safety businesses, completed scheduled health and safety audits of the principal construction contractor’s health and safety management systems as part of the NSW Government routine due diligence programs.
Illawarra Coal Mine
ECSC was contracted by SIEMAG-TECBERG Australia to support the delivery and installation of complex critical mechanical plant and components. This essentially was the replacement of a 60-tonne winder and rope installation that supports the delivery of mining workers into the mine. ECSC provided a dedicated health and safety professional to the business for a consigned period of 6 months while the shutdown works were completed. ESCS support all interested parties with the development of high-level health and safety management systems, leadership programs, building cultural behaviours to achieve established health and safety vision. The performances of ECSC were critical to the complexity of the delivery of the project construction program. Maintaining compliance to many legislative requirements, including design management, project establishment, delivery, and commissioning phases of the project.
